The Homecoming Pep Rally event, a new Homecoming tradition, is an opportunity for the Marshall community to come together and celebrate Homecoming with current SMSU students. Get into the spirit with us! Go Mustangs!

DAY OF SERVICE

9:30 a.m. check-in at Founders Hall
SMSU will host the fourth annual Day of Service - Mustangs Give during Homecoming. President Kumara Jayasuriya had the vision for the program in 2021 and each year the participation continues to grow. SMSU students, faculty, staff, and alumni can donate their time in two-hour shifts to a number of local projects. Some volunteer efforts have included Adopt-A-Highway clean-up, Light Up the Night set-up, leaf raking, trash clean-up around town, Red Cross Blood Drive, Memorial Park painting at the 9/11 memorial, and Park Side Elementary sidewalk painting, among others. The Day of Service has become an annual Homecoming Week activity.

The Southwest Celebration is an exciting new event to kick off the Homecoming Weekend. Join us on Friday as we celebrate the Alumni Award recipients, highlight the special projects currently underway on campus, and kick off the annual coming home of our Mustang Family.
Tickets are $50. Please register by October 4th.

Lace up your running shoes and kick-start your day with a morning run! Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. at the Track & Field Complex on the north end of campus.
HOMECOMING PARADE

The Homecoming parade is an annual tradition that brings students, alumni, faculty, staff, future Mustangs and members of our community together to celebrate and showcase our pride and spirit for SMSU. Come early to secure your spot downtown!
10th, 25th & 50th CLASS REUNIONS

This year, the SMSU Alumni Association is proud to host a 10th, 25th and 50th Year Reunion for all graduates from the classes of 2014, 1999 and 1974!

The Alumni Association has our own tailgating tent at Homecoming. Be sure to stop by and check out the SMSU Alumni merchandise, grab some drinks, play yard games, and more! This is all part of our newest tradition: The Game Day Roundup.
The Game Day Roundup takes place two hours prior to each home game on Mustang Trail and the R/A Facility parking lot and will include inflatables, food trucks, live music, tailgating and much more. It’s a great way for SMSU fans to enjoy a Mustang Experience!

Following the end of the football game | Wings Axe Company
Located at 100 W College Dr Suite #101 in downtown Marshall.
This year, we are hosting our annual Alumni Homecoming social at Wings Axe Company. We have three lanes reserved for anyone who wishes to test their aim with axe throwing. There will also be food, a full bar, table top games, entertainment, and overall good company!
