Fogarty ’82 Commissioned for Limited Edition Print

Over the last 25 years noted Minnesota artist Terrence Fogarty (SMSU class of '82) has depicted historic stadiums and sports arenas across the United States and Canada. Fogarty's latest painting titled "Horsepower" celebrates Southwest Minnesota's newest jewel; Mattke Field at the Regional Event Center. Fogarty's ultra realistic painting style captures a Mustang football game at the REC in dramatic detail and atmosphere.

"Horsepower” has been reproduced from the original oil painting as 300 limited edition *giclée (pronounced zee-clay) prints and is available now for purchase through the SMSU Alumni Office.

Each print is signed and numbered by the artist and will be shipped directly from the artist's studio. Also available for the ultimate Mustang fan are 10 full size canvas (28"x72") giclée reproductions that are exact replicas of the original oil painting. These are limited edition reproductions and will not be reprinted once the editions sell out. Giclée (pronounced ZEE-CLAY) Giclée printing or digital printing is a more costly, labor intensive process but it brings richer color and a more 3D quality to the images. Giclée is derived from a French term meaning “sprayed ink.” Giclée printing can be applied to both paper and canvas print editions. Canvas giclée reproductions are generally printed to the exact size of the original painting and are as close in appearance to the original painting as possible.
