Tournament Rules:


1. The tournament is scheduled for February 16, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Lake Sarah.

2. Should inclement weather cause cancellation on February 16, 2019, there will be no make up date.

3. Prizes will be awarded starting with the largest fish caught and prizes will continue to be random throughout the registered fish. In the event of a tie, the winner will be the person who weighed in their fish first.

4. Each person will be allowed to fish two holes per ticket. You may register as many fish as you want, but only the heaviest fish entered will qualify as a competition prize. There is no age requirement on tournament participation.

5. All fish entered must be brought to the weigh-in station immediately and be alive. Dead or frozen fish are ineligible. Judges shall have the right to verify that fish were legally caught. The decision of the judge is final. All prize winners may be required to take polygraph exams as part of contest requirements. In the event deception is detected or the contestent refuses to take the exam, his or her prize will be forfeited. Contestants are responsible for verification of weight of fish at the time of weigh in.

6. All fish must be caught and the contestant must be in the weigh-in station by 3:00 p.m.

7. Contestants must fish in the area designated for the contest and will be required to have their tickets visible at all times. Ticket checks, as well as container inspections, will be required.

8. Contestants will be allowed to move within the contest area. Fishers are allowed to bring as many poles as desired, but cannot use more than one pole per hole at a time.

9. The tournament ticket and random drawing tickets are two separate items.

10. Entry fee for the tournament is $40.00 per ticket. No refunds will be given for any reason.

11. Random drawing tickets will be available for purchase at the Registration Tent.

12. Contestants are responsible for their own safety, actions, and property at all times.

13. All laws regulating Lake Sarah by the appropriate state authority will be abided by.

14. Contest and raffle prizes are the responsibility of the winners. Licensing, registration, transportation, taxes, and all incidental or consequential expenses incurred are the responsibility of the winners. Prizes must be claimed within 90 days of notification.

15. All bait fish must be provided by the contestant.

16. Failure to comply with any contest rules subjects contestants to disqualification and removal from competition site, as determined by contest officials. Right to refuse to sell and/or revoke a competition ticket to anyone is hereby reserved.

17. A leader board will be located in the contest area. All efforts will be made to keep the board up to date and accurate. Tournament results remain unofficial until verified by the head judge.

18. All contestants and others hereby consent to the use of any names, photographs or likenesses of themselves to be used in the promotion of our contest, including but not limited to print, radio, television, or any other media.

19. All houses are subject to inspection upon registration and at any point during the tournament.

20. Anyone fishing within the contest area must have a contest ticket.

21. All participants must be present at the rules meeting prior to the start of the fishing tournament.
